Strike Two
And The Age has done it again. After flogging off its front and back pages to Richard Branson on Thursday, Friday brought this horrendously insensitive juxtaposition of article and ad:

"The bad news, mate, is that they're going to hang you. But we saved a packet on the flight over here!"
(Thanks to Sarah for the heads-up and the image).

I draw your attention to a recent Crikey article: http://www.crikey.com.au/articles/2005/11/18-1527-3064.html
(sorry, this is very crude but have no idea how to embed link)

Thanks for that. And well spotted.
I don't read Crikey. I subscribed for a while but quickly grew frustrated trawling through so much hastily cobbled-together content to find the occasional jewel.
But that was a good catch. I didn't see it, obviously. Well, not that obviously, but take my word for it. (And I apologise to Jane Nethercote for inadvertantly ripping her off).

Bit tangential but... I've got to say I had a little 'proud of Labor' moment the other day when Kevin Rudd seemed genuinely upset about Ngyuen's fate on the ABC's 'Insiders' (its online). Normally Rudd gives the impression that he knows spontaneity is important so he prepares for it extra carefully. He actually looked pissed off. Hardly earth-shaking but one step at a time.

You gotta take those moments when they come, Ricko. Cause they don't come that often.
(And does anyone else think Kevin Rudd looks a bit like a middle-aged lesbian? You know it.)

now that you mention it... give him a tie-dyed t-shirt, some really bad shorts, and a rainbow sunshade and he'd be ready for a picnic in today's lovely sunny weather.
